Searching Linked Data and Services with a Single Query
نویسنده
چکیده
The appearance of valuable Linked Data sources as part of the LOD in the last few years and the emergence of Semantic Web services has opened new horizons for web and data research. Moreover, machine-understandability of semantics allows for efficient search and integration of data. Based on the existing standards and techniques, we address the problem of searching data and services in the LOD. Furthermore, we aim to introduce an approach that integrates data queries with data from service calls and compositions. However, many challenges and issues need to be resolved in order to achieve such a goal. In this paper we briefly discuss some of such problems and solutions.

Non-zero probability of nearest neighbor searching
Nearest Neighbor (NN) searching is a challenging problem in data management and has been widely studied in data mining, pattern recognition and computational geometry. The goal of NN searching is efficiently reporting the nearest data to a given object as a query. In most of the studies both the data and query are assumed to be precise, however, due to the real applications of NN searching, suc...

Background and Aim: The basic aim of the present study is to investigate users’ query reformulation behavior with regard to wholistic-analytic cognitive styles, search task type, and experience variables in using the Web. Method: This study is an applied research using survey method. A total of 321 search queries were submitted by 44 users. Data collection tools were Riding’s Cognitive Style A...
متن کاملRelational Databases Query Optimization using Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm
Optimizing the database queries is one of hard research problems. Exhaustive search techniques like dynamic programming is suitable for queries with a few relations, but by increasing the number of relations in query, much use of memory and processing is needed, and the use of these methods is not suitable, so we have to use random and evolutionary methods. The use of evolutionary methods, beca...
متن کاملDeveloping a BIM-based Spatial Ontology for Semantic Querying of 3D Property Information
With the growing dominance of complex and multi-level urban structures, current cadastral systems, which are often developed based on 2D representations, are not capable of providing unambiguous spatial information about urban properties. Therefore, the concept of 3D cadastre is proposed to support 3D digital representation of land and properties and facilitate the communication of legal owners...
متن کاملMulti-Service Search and Comparison Using the MetaCrawler
Standard Web search services, though useful, are far from ideal. There are over a dozen di erent search services currently in existence, each with a unique interface and a database covering a di erent portion of the Web. As a result, users are forced to repeatedly try and retry their queries across di erent services. Furthermore, the services return many responses that are irrelevant, outdated,...
